Hi!  As a member of the hiking community, I want to welcome you to this site.  I am an avid hiker who is section hiking the Appalachian Trail.  I am a member of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy as well as the Boston Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club.

Since buying my first GPS unit, I never go hiking without it.  It adds so much to my enjoyment of the outdoors.  I can see how far I traveled, how fast I walked, how long I stopped for, how far to the next shelter, etc.  I also enjoy doing a little geocaching along the way.

My goal is to help anyone who loves the outdoors to get a quality GPS unit for the right price.
